The Concept
The concept for this app came from the desire to have a more streamlined way to look at events in a big urban city like New York City, where the options are overwhelming and there’s everything under the sun that’s available to try and experience. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to filter by the energetic quality, the kinds of events you’d like to attend? Where setting the vibe right was just as important as the event itself.
The Process
The UIUX process for this was extensive and thorough. I worked through case studies, competitive analysis, user flows, and different features to highlight and focus on in the app. Through a process of elimination and gaining clarity on what’s most important to users, I was able to streamline the app in a way that felt cohesive and approachable, doing what it was designed to do – reduce excess clutter.
